Position Description
• Must have an Engineering degree in any discipline from a reputed institution
• Must have 10-12 yrs of experience in IT industry with at least 3 yrs of Service Delivery in complex; demanding 24x7 environments
• Must be willing to work in UK/ US business day time zones and flexible to changes in work schedules
• Sound knowledge on AIX Infrastructure
• Possess ITIL certification
• Excellent written; oral communication skills; credibility; interpersonal skills
• Must have worked in similar capacity at an MNC in Outsourcing/ technology and consulting services firm
• Good knowledge of business continuity planning and disaster recovery practices
• Must have financial acumen; budgeting; reducing cost of operations; knowledge of Capex; Opex; resource costing
• Ability to plan and execute migration and upgradation projects
• Vendor management experience
• Ability to work effectively in diverse; virtual and multi-cultural environments
• Able to work in an unstructured environment and bring structure to a problem; synthesize issues.
• Experienced in managing conflicts.
• Strong leadership skills
• Flexible to work on 24/7 rotational shifts
• On call schedule and week end change schedule participation

• HA Cluster, Patching Secondary Skill: Linux SysAdmin
• Shell scripting, Basic knowledge of Emerging technology like AWS, Azure, Ansible etc..

• AIX Security and User Administration
• Should be well-versed in managing Devices in AIX, the Object Data Manager (ODM)
• Good hands on in administer AIX LVM metadata and problems
• AIX LVM with industry best practices
Good hands on in Working and managing with File Systems, Access Control Lists, Paging Space an its best practices
• AIX Installation, Network Installation Manager(NIM), AIX Software Installation and Maintenance, AIX Patching, AIX Migration (Using DVD as well as using NIM method) • Alternate disk installation, copy (pre-clone), multibos
• Backup and Restore, Saving and Restoring Volume Groups and Online JFS/JFS2 Backups
• Error monitoring, Error Log, Diagnostics, the AIX System Dump Facility
• System Performance analysis and troubleshooting, tuning along with industry best practices
• Networking Overview, configuring network devices, ip addressing, routing, network high availability link aggregation techniques
• Job Scheduling (cron and at), System Management Tools and Documentation (smit tool)
• Configuring Logical Partitions, Micro partitions, Virtual processors, Virtual Ethernet adapters, Logical Host Ethernet Adapters (HEA, LHEA), Working with FC adapters
• Virtual I/O – Installation, Administration, creating Virtual Ethernet adapters, virtual SCSI, Virtual FC
• VIOS Patching, backup and recovery, VIOS Security Dual VIOS – Configure SEA Failover, storage multipathing with dual VIOS. Testing SEA and multipathing, NPIV concepts, Configure and troubleshoot NPIV in dual VIOS environment.
• Installing POWER HA software, configuring two node and multi node cluster, configuring IPs and non IP network, creating resource groups, resources and working different policies for resource groups
• Administering POWER HA nodes, starting, stopping HACMP, fail over, moving resource group from one node to another, looking at cluster status, resource group status etc. Certification Required: IBM AIX SysAdmin
• Minimum 7 years of experience in remote infrastructure management
• 7+ years working experience on Redhat Linux, Redhat cluster , satellite , patching
• 5+ years of working experience in OVM , KVM, RHEV, docker container/ openshift
• Experience in deploying; maintaining and supporting Linux Server infrastructures and storage systems in an enterprise environment
• Maintain security and OS patch management for linux based systems
• Responsible for resolving all technical incidents escalated by the L-2 team
• Analyze Change Request; review change requests with the client & stake holders; validate the information and execute - High complexity; Critical & Emergency Changes
• Sound knowledge on SRM, Cluster, DataStore and Disaster Recovery
• Basic knowledge on scripting and automation
