Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Lead Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in network and internet
management, vendor management, and a strong background in people management. The successful
candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and managing our infrastructure, with a
specific focus on network and internet systems. This role demands technical prowess, leadership skills,
and the ability to ensure a secure, high-performance infrastructure for the organization.
Responsibilities:
?Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion.
?Lead the design and management of the organization's network and internet infrastructure to
ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
?Collaborate with external vendors to source infrastructure components and services, ensuring
cost-effectiveness, quality, and adherence to service level agreements.
?Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, training, and support
to achieve team objectives.
?Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and trends in network and
internet management, applying this knowledge to enhance infrastructure solutions.
?Implement and enforce security measures, protocols, and compliance standards to safeguard
the organization's data and systems.
?Develop and maintain monitoring tools and practices to identify and proactively resolve
network and internet issues, ensuring high availability.
?Monitor network resource usage and plan for expansion to meet the evolving needs of the
organization.
?Establish and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures for the network and internet
infrastructure to minimize downtime during disruptions.
?Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation for network and internet systems to
assist with troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
?Act as a key liaison between the infrastructure team and the Central IT team located offshore,
facilitating effective communication and coordination between the two teams.
Qualifications:
?Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or
equivalent work experience).
?Proven experience in network and internet management and infrastructure design.
?Strong leadership and team management skills with prior people management experience.
?In-depth knowledge of network protocols, internet technologies, and security best practices.
?Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues and implementing effective solutions.
?Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
?Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
?Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or similar) a plus.
