Engagement Responsibilities - SAP MDG
? Consultant should be responsible for making solution recommendations considering
scope and client requirements. Responsible for requirements gathering, process design,
configuration of the master objects, assistance with testing, and solution deployment from
one environment to another.
? Deep understanding of SAP S/4 and SAP MDG capabilities.
? Must have E2E project experience on SAP MDG 6.1/7.0/8.0/9.0 and/or future releases.
? Prepare the Business blueprint and functional specifications documents and ensure
delivery of objects per the timelines.
? Integrate business process requirements with the technical implementation of SAP Master
Data Governance. Strong conceptual design and analytics capabilities with an ability to
balance theory and practical reality.
? Should be experienced in the configuration of MDG modules & components like
Business Partner (customer/vendor), financial master data, material, etc.
? Must have an E2E implementation project experience of SAP MDG solutions like
Customer, Vendor, Financial masters (e.g., cost centres, profit centres, GLs), etc.
? Ability to implement SAP MDG solutions for various master data objects, not limited to
the above.
? Expertise in technical skills such as ABAP, ABAP OOPS, ABAP Web Dynpro, BRFPlus,
FPM, IDOC, Data Dictionary, Replication, WEB UI, Fiori, ALE-IDOC and Enterprise
Portal
? Should have in-depth knowledge of Data Modeling, Process modelling, RFC FMs (API)
? UI modelling, (Design and Creation of UI, Value restriction, Define navigation elements,
CBA)
? Duplicate checks Data replication framework (Data transfer, ALE/IDOC, Key & value
mapping, MDG Export & import master data, Convert master data)
? Should be experienced in designing/configuration Rule-based Workflow (BRF Plus) and
related Business roles to set up the governance process.
? Data Replication Techniques (SOA Service, ALE connection)
? Data Transfer (Export Process, Import Master Data Process and Convert Master Data)
? Review/perform Coding, Testing and QA in ABAP, BRF+, Web Dynpro and related
programming languages, as and when required by the customer. Should have excellent
experience in providing feasible solutions to Business Rules (Validations and
Derivations) using BRFPlus and Business Add-Ins (BAdis) with his/her vast knowledge
of MDG out-of-the-box capabilities.
? Strong problem-solving capabilities in complex, multi-vendor environments.
? User interface modelling (Design and Creation of UI, Value restriction, Define navigation
elements of type Hyperlink or Push button, Data quality, Validation and Derivation rules)

? Actively engage with the core team by participating in business process discussions.
? Solid oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex
technical topics to management and non-technical audiences.
? Manage and escalate project risks and issues on time. Liaise with business users to bring
escalations to an amicable resolution.
? SAP ERP logistics knowledge (SAP modules SD or MM), especially master data, is a
plus point.
? Ensure that all project documentation and deliverables adhere to the company's quality
standards.
? Adhere to and align deliverables to the release schedules.
? Good to have exposure to DQR, SolMan, Ariba and other tools which can be integrated
