Solution Architect
Please note that the key is ‘Microservices development using springboot/Java on AWS’ – please don't get distracted by the term DevOps.
A Solution Architect is able to set out the technical vision and direction for the platform. He is a leader with a strong opinion and is able to drive the foundational setup. A Solution Architect is however also still into the content, can be hands-on and can guide solutioning as well as implementation.
The Solution Architect role is an integral part of the DevOps team, meaning that when needed, he will also be part of production issue resolution.
• 5 years of experience in AWS, including microservice architectures, serverless architectures and containerization
• 8 years of experience in IT, having played roles from Developer, to Technical Lead, to Architect
• 3 years of experience in a Technical Lead/Solution Architect role
• Experienced in setting up Continuous Delivery pipelines at scale
• Strong conceptual thinker with hands-on experience
• Knowledgeable on monitoring/testing architectures and best practices
- Experienced in (Scaled) Agile way of working
- Experienced in DevOps way of working and principles
• Strong leader, experienced in technical coordination of a DevOps team
• Great communication skills, both verbal as well as writing
• Great technical writer
• Very strong in keeping the platform overview, but also still great eye for detail
• Great sense of ownership on the platform level
Setting out Platform Vision and Creating Solution Architecture
• Defining and Governing Best Practices, Foundation and Reference Architectures
• Platform Leader
• Hands-on when needed (e.g. when guiding engineers, or resolving production issues)
• Design for scalability, costs, testability and deployability
• Not part of 24/7 pager duty rotation
