ROLE DESCRIPTION
The APO ABAP Senior Consultant is a critical role responsible for developments covering all aspects
of development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation,
configuration and support for SAP systems including integration with non-SAP applications in a project.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
?8 plus years of ABAP Development experience, at least 3 years in SAP APO ABAP
?At least 3 end to end APO implementations not including Rollouts
?ABAP Certification would be an added advantage
Job Description: Senior SAP APO ABAP Consultant
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Architecting, designing and helping implement custom solutions in APO ABAP, successfully in customer organizations.
Liaising with Customer, Solution Architect, Functional Consultants and Technical peers to
achieve project goals within expected timelines.
Provide SME support for business requirements across projects
Mentoring Junior APO Team members within the Organization ?Drive and Assist with building Assets and Accelerators within SAP APO for CoE.
Build repository of custom development implemented by Bristlecone for unique business
requirements
Conduct trainings within Practice to build competency.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Good level of understanding of all modules of SAP APO with expertise in at least 2 modules
across DP, SNP, PPDS, GATP
Ability to architect an end to end solution while understanding the integration aspects between
different modules within APO as well as of APO with ERP systems
Ability to work on complex development scenarios along with writing technical specifications
for complex customizations
Ability to propose multiple workable solutions as per best practices
Good understanding of ECC and APO Master data
Expert in CIF, Integration Models, Planning Books, BAPIs, LiveCache COM routines, BADIs,
Enhancement Framework, User and Customer Exits
Experience in interacting with functional developers to provide daily operational support as
well as solution implementation for enhancements and projects
Worked on performance tuning and enhancements of existing reports
Exposure of Client discussions, Incident Resolution, New Development, CR Estimation,
Solution Proposal
Good to have experience in Standard and Custom heuristics, Macro BADIs
