Business Analyst - Product Management
JOB TITLE Business Analyst
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assists in setting replies to proposals section as requested by Senior BA
· Assists in setting the business and functional requirements during an enhancement. Also assists in testing the related enhancements that will be introduced to the existing/new modules.
· Assists in preparing the marketing materials for existing/new modules.
· Assists in checking system’s compliance with specific acts, rules and regulations and issuing detailed compliance reports/documents to Sr. BA
· Research on specific areas related to products/market to clarify and resolve newly arising subjects/products. Research also includes that of the Central Bank’s circulars as well as other countries regulations for the purpose of conformity and compliance.
· According to the area of specialization, assists in the client’s consultation such as reviewing/commenting on chart of accounts and accounting policies.
· Assists in updating or creating new drafts of Work Procedure as needed. The BA would also draft new Data Sheets and updates existing ones related to the functionalities of modules/products as needed.
· Domain knowledge and expertise is must to go into next grade.
· Communicates information directly and clearly. Checks for clarity and understanding during a conversation using active feedback, reflection, and other communication techniques.
· Determines the major tasks necessary to achieve the project goals and develops detailed task breakdowns, time estimates and work plan to build, test and release the product. Applies his past project experience in estimation, executes work plan as per schedule and provides intermediate progress and exception report to the manager. Highlights exceptions and risks to the plan and helps address it too.
· Capable of training others in both formal and informal situations. Facilitates and moderates issues identification and resolutions.
· Identifies, communicates and resolves conflicts with the individuals involved. Encourages all members to put forth their views and contributes.
· Presumes that change is constant and acts in ways that enable change to occur positively. Promotes teamwork and cooperation within own department, and between other departments.
· Prepare and Analyze the Business requirement based on customer demands or Market Study and generate the related functional requirement specification.
· Conduct Delphi for the specification requirement with all stakeholders and provide the necessary clarifications.
· Assist the team during the modification life cycle
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENTENCY SKILLS
BS/ B Com and 3-4 years OR MS/ MBA/ M Com and 2-3 yrs Ø A degree in Business/ Business Finance from a reputable university with concentration in the specific or related field of education. (Finance, Accounting…)
Ø The candidate should have experience between 3 to 4 yrs in the banking sector or any related domain in case of a holding Bachelors Degree. The years of experience can be between 2 and 3 in case of a Masters Degree.
Ø Some marketing, research or other similar background including general knowledge in banking software, software development and implementation practices would be of added value.
Ø Should have good verbal and written communication skills
Ø Must be excellent in critical and analytical thinking
