Senior Functional Consultant

Job Purpose:
CCB Senior Functional Consultants work with the functional team to provide guidance, review
functional design and to configure and validate customer solutions in the Oracle Utilities
Customer Care and Billing or other Oracle products according to requirements. Additionally, the
Senior Functional Consultants also assist in capturing solution requirements through customer
workshops, perform requirements analysis and assist in formulation of functional solution
design. This job role requires experience of translating customer requirements into
implementable IT solutions within the Oracle Utilities C2M and/or other Oracle solutions. The
role involves active engagement in project delivery by implementing enterprise solution and
coordinating with all relevant project team members to ensure timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
? Implement and configure Oracle Utilities solutions as per the solution design documents
? Work across multiple projects as requested
? Develop domain expertise in relevant domains to become a SME
? Assist in requirement analysis and develop proposed solutions
? Assist in conducting requirements gathering workshops with the customer
? Assist in develop and conduct conference room pilots to aid in solution finalization
Provide key user training
? Provide guidance to the development team to ensure delivered solution aligns with
requirements
? Develop and execute test plans and document results
? Validate developed customizations and coordinate with development team for smooth
? release of the solution
? Coordinate with technical team, functional teams, and project manager and customer as
and when required.
? Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members
? Participate in project and company meetings via MS Teams or other media as requested.
Qualification & Skills:
? At least 3 years of experience working in similar capacity in an IT Consulting
environment in the utilities industry or a local council using Oracle Utilities product/s or
similar products
? Experience of end to end delivery of enterprise solutions is a must
? Experience of working and delivering solutions based in ERP, Utilities domain, City
Councils, or
? Custom cloud solutions using Oracle or other pre-packaged enterprise solutions is good
to have
? Strong experience of working in agile and waterfall project deliveries or in a product
development environment
? Strong experience in business analysis, developing requirement specification and solution
design documents
? Proven experience of leading customer workshops for requirement gathering and solution
design presentation
? Understanding of customer to meter billing solutions including smart metering
? A proven track record in leading high performing teams
? Hands-on experience of implementing and configuring solutions is a must. Working with
pre-packaged solutions is good to have
? Good understanding of basic development, database, integration and security concepts
Skills:
? Excellent presentation and written communication skills in English language
? Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making and time management skills
? CCB/C2M functional and implementation ability using product methodologies
? Analysis capability to understand OUAF
? SQL script development
? Good documentation skills in English language
? Expertise in using basic office tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Projects
? Expertise in workflow designing
? Expertise in preparing Project plans
? Strong customer delivery
? Ability to translate user-provided requirements and data into configured solutions in the
CCB/C2M and/or other Oracle Utilities products
? Ability to review and provide guidance to the team on solution designs
? Skilled ability to handle complexity and uncertainty in new environments and solutions
? Ability to work independently and within a team environment
? Strong problem-solving skills and conceptual thinking skills
Qualifications and Certifications:
? Bachelor’s in Computer Science is a must, MS in Computer Science or MBA is added
advantage
