Business environment
IT Delivery is responsible for building and deploying end to end IT solutions for business and markets. This will increasingly involve configuring and integrating standard applications (the full stack including infrastructure), rather than customizing or developing software. Input for these solutions comes from the Sector/Function/Markets CIO and Platform & Architecture organizations. Upon acceptance by the business, the deliverables will be transitioned to Operations for “run management.” In the run phase, the Delivery organization provides 3rd line application maintenance and support to Operations.
IT Delivery applies the Agile/Scrum methodology and manages external partners on an output basis. Competence centers and sourcing will be organized around Platforms: Idea to Market, Market to Order, Order to Cash/Fulfillment business applications and the enabling Platforms. Key roles in the Competence Centers are the Competence Group Manager, Team Lead, Business Analyst, Technical Lead and Senior Project Manager.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible as integrator for IT delivery projects that depend for their delivery on multiple output based streams spanning multiple vendors. He/She ensures that the output of the various streams is aligned and in pace with expected overall project results whilst managing the interdependencies.
The Senior Project Manager is end to end responsible for all output based contracts and agreements within one project (typically >1 Mio Euro’s). In this role, he/she will be the delegate of the IT delivery manager of the platform and ensures communication to other related stakeholders.
Per platform, one prime vendor is selected but in case a project is exceeding a predefined threshold, the prime vendor and challenger will bid on the project. The Senior Project Manager can be requested to lead this process.
Key areas of responsibility
As a Sr. Project Manager
· Ensures delivery of projects which span multiple vendors according Philips expectations.
· Ensures effective integration of multiple output based delivery streams by managing the interdependencies
· Operates as contract manager for the contracts within one single project:
o Aligns multiple vendor contract interdependencies to accommodate overall integrated delivery
o Determines issues (like scope creep, on-time, etc) in one output stream and manages contractual consequences for other vendor delivery streams
o Manages vendor underperformance
· Ensures timely delivery across platforms and vendors
· Determines overall project risks, defines corrective actions and drives the project to closure
· Ensures compliancy to Philips policies/rules/procedures
Supports the following Key Areas of Responsibilities of the Delivery Manager:
· Delivers IT Solutions for a specific BG, Function or Market, based on the standard processes and methodologies defined by the Head of Transformation / Architecture / Operations from project initiation, design, configuration, integration to deployment and 3rd line support.
· Accountable for Output Based Solutions Delivery, based on Agile / Scrum methodologies and in line with Architectural Principles
Accountable for project quality and FDA/ICS/ SoX compliance
Requirements
· Dedicated Project management experience of 3-5 years. PMP certified candidates preferred.
· Experience in tools like Service Now, AzureDevOps etc.
· Familiar with Agile methodology.
· Experience in using Estimation Tools/Wall of Reference, Cost management, Schedule Management, Stakeholder Management.
· Experience in managing integration projects (preferred).
Technology experience – any middleware product (SAP PI/PO, IBM Websphere ESB, Dell Boomi, TIBCO etc.), SAP ERP (Optional)
