Technical Consultant-OUAF

Job Purpose:
Technical Consultants are responsible for developing and implementing high-quality solutions.
This role requires active engagement in software development activities, and implementing
solutions following the company’s software development guidelines. Technical Consultants are
highly skilled technical resources with the ability to develop and deliver quality products. we
focus on maintaining technological leadership; hence this role requires high flexibility and
adaptability to quickly adopt new technologies and quick learning ability.
Responsibilities:
? Develop high quality products or project solutions based on the technical solution design,
and ensure compliance to company’s development standards
? Maintain continuous learning and adoption to new and upcoming technologies
? Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
? Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
? Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
? Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
? Develop, document and unit test required components and customizations
? Coordinate with functional teams, project manager and customers as and when required
? Deliver assigned tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications & Skills:
? At least 1 year of experience working with Oracle Utilities Application Framework
solutions for maintenance and implementation
? Strong technical development, database, architectural and security concepts
? Proven experience Working on UI Maps, BPA scripts, plug-in scripts, service scripts,
DAs, BSs, BOs, service tasks, etc.
? Configuration and support for Oracle Utilities Application Framework products
? Developing application extensions, batch jobs, and common routines in OUAF and/or
? Groovy/Java for OUAF products SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, XML, XSLT, XPath
? knowledge of one or more utility or local council process areas: Customer, Rates, and
Billing,
? Payments and Collections, Meter Data, Revenue Management, Valuations, Animal
? Management, Service Orders, or Devices.
? Experience working in Agile project or product development teams
? Excellent presentation and written communication skills
? Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision making and time-management skills
? Strong customer delivery
? Skilled ability to handle complexity and uncertainty
? Ability to work well within a team and ability to develop solutions with minimal
guidance
? Strong problem-solving skills and conceptual thinking skills

Qualifications & Certifications:
? Bachelor’s in Computer Science is a must, MS in Computer Science is added advantage
? Related Professional qualifications and certifications are good to have
