Responsibilities/ Duties
? Monitor SQL Server databases: Monitor database performance, health, and availability using
monitoring tools and respond promptly to alerts and issues.
? Replication Management: Assist in configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting database
replication to ensure data consistency across different environments.
? Clustering, High Availability, and Mirroring: Gain knowledge and provide support for database
clustering, high availability, and mirroring solutions to ensure database uptime and disaster
recovery.
? Backup and Recovery: Assist in managing database backup and recovery processes to ensure data
integrity and availability in case of data loss or system failures.
? Database Security: Help manage database security by implementing and maintaining user roles,
profiles, and permissions to protect sensitive data.
? Database Maintenance: Assist in managing database growth, data purging, and archiving processes
to optimize database performance and storage efficiency.
? Hardware and software upgrades: Collaborate with the senior DBA to identify the need for hardware
or software upgrades and assist in the implementation process.
? Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, changes, and
procedures.

Criteria for the Role!
? Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
