SAP CPS (Central Process Scheduling) Consultant
o Responsibilities:
§ Lead the planning and execution of the upgrade from
SAP R/3 to SAP ECC EHP 7,
including the Unicode Conversion and Archiving solutions,
for the SAP CPSenvironment.
§ Develop and execute the technical migration plan for SAP CPS,
including system downtime, backup, and recovery procedures.
§ Perform system and application data consistency checks before,
during, and after the migration process.
§ Develop and execute post-migration testing plans
to ensure that all functions of the system are working as expected.
§ Manage the migration of existing data to the new
system and perform any necessary data conversions for SAP CPS.
§ Configure the SAP CPS system to ensure seamless
integration with other systems and applications.
§ Monitor system performance and take corrective actions
as needed to ensure high system availability and performance.
§ Implement and configure any new features or
functionalities of the SAP ECC EHP 7 platform related to SAP CPS.
§ Ensure compliance with security and
access control policies and procedures.
§ Document technical procedures and processes related
to the upgrade, including backup and recovery procedures,
system configuration, and user access control.
§ Provide technical support to end-users,
developers, and functional teams related to SAP CPS.
Requirements:
§ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, or related field.
§ Minimum of 5 years of experience
as an SAP CPS consultant.
§ Strong knowledge of SAP R/3 and SAP ECC,
as well as their integration with SAP CPS.
§ Experience with SAP CPS technical configuration,
administration, and troubleshooting.
§ Experience in managing SAP CPS migration projects,
including system downtime, backup, and recovery procedures.
§ Experience in developing and executing
post-migration testing plans for SAP CPS.
§ Strong understanding of SAP data dictionary,
table structure, and query optimization for SAP CPS.
§ Experience in monitoring system performance
for SAP CPS and taking corrective actions as needed.
§ Experience in implementing and configuring new features
or functionalities of the SAP ECC EHP 7 platform related to SAP CPS.
§ Strong communication and interpersonal
skills to work with technical and functional teams.
Key Competencies:
1. SAP CPS Configuration: Must be proficient in
configuring SAP CPS and its components such as job definitions,
schedules, job steps, events, and calendars.
2. SAP CPS Administration: The consultant must be able to
perform administrative tasks such as managing SAP CPS users
and user groups, setting up authentication, authorization,
and encryption, and monitoring SAP CPS performance.
3. SAP CPS Integration: The consultant must have a good
understanding of how SAP CPS integrates with
other SAP systems such as SAP R/3 and SAP ECC.
4. SAP CPS Migration:
The consultant must have experience in planning and executing
SAP CPS migration projects, including system downtime,
backup, and recovery procedures.
5. SAP CPS Troubleshooting:
The consultant must have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
related to SAP CPS, such as job failures,
scheduling conflicts, and performance issues.
6. SAP Data Dictionary:
The consultant must have a strong understanding of the
SAP data dictionary, table structure, and query optimization for SAP CPS.
7. SAP ECC Integration:
The consultant must have experience in integrating SAP CPS
with SAP ECC and be familiar with the architecture,
data flows, and configuration requirements.
8. SAP ECC EHP 7:
The consultant must be familiar with the new features
and functionalities of the SAP ECC EHP 7 platform related to SAP CPS.
9. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
The consultant must have strong communication and
interpersonal skills to work with technical and functional teams,
manage stakeholders, and provide technical support to end-users.
